“Más Allá de las Fronteras”: Latino Heritage Month Youth Artist Pop Up
“Más Allá de las Fronteras” features the work of emerging artists Yakelin Jorge Ramos and Diego Montano, both participants in the Ah Haa School for the Arts Teen Fellowship Program. Through paintings inspired by landscapes, architecture, memory, and imagination, their work invites viewers to explore places both near and far while reflecting on the experiences and perspectives that shape a new generation of Latino artists.
Presented in celebration of Latino Heritage Month, this exhibition celebrates the power of art to transcend borders, connect cultures, and create opportunities for young artists to share their voices with the community.

“This Is Colorado” Community Art Project
Telluride Arts and the Telluride Historical Museum, with support from TMVOA, are launching “This Is Colorado (In One Square Foot)”, a community art project inviting San Miguel County residents 16+ to respond to the prompt “What does being a Coloradan mean to you?” Completed works will be assembled into a large-scale grid installation exhibited in Telluride and Mountain Village, forming a collective portrait of the region through diverse community voices.

The Color of Summer
Summer is often remembered through color. The vivid blue of alpine skies, the golden glow of late evening light, the green of mountain meadows, the red of wildflowers, the silver of rushing water, or the countless shades that evoke memories of warmth, freedom, celebration, and place.
The Color of Summer invites artists to select a single color (and its hues) that, for them, best defines the season. This color may be inspired by the natural landscape, personal memories, cultural traditions, emotional associations, or entirely unexpected interpretations. Through painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, mixed media, and beyond, artists are encouraged to explore the many ways color shapes our experience of summer.
The exhibition will be installed by color, creating a visual journey through the gallery where individual works become part of a larger collective spectrum. By grouping artwork according to the artist's chosen hue, The Color of Summer highlights both the personal and universal relationships we have with color and seasonality.

Creative Exchange
The Creative Exchange is a monthly series by Telluride Arts designed for the artists and creatives who call Telluride home. It’s a space where emerging and established artists gather to share the knowledge, skills, and stories that fuel their work. Think of it as an open source model for creativity—where we learn from each other, swap ideas, and help strengthen one another’s practice.
Each session is hosted by local artists and creative leaders who bring their own perspectives, techniques, and creative journeys into the room. Topics may span everything from the business of art and professional development, to creative process, storytelling, collaboration, and the philosophical underpinnings of making work in a mountain town that’s both intimate and global.

Salon Night
Salon Nights are inspired by the legendary Parisian salons—those lively gatherings where artists, thinkers, and dreamers came together to debate, collaborate, and inspire the movements that shaped art and culture. We’re bringing that spirit into the present and rooting it here in Telluride.
These are evenings for conversation and connection, not lectures or formal programming. They are casual, open, and intentionally unstructured, designed to create the atmosphere where ideas can collide, new friendships form, and creativity sparks. Imagine an evening where musicians talk with writers, painters meet photographers, filmmakers share stories with ceramicists—and the unexpected happens!
Salon Nights celebrate the unique character of Telluride’s creative community and the belief that art thrives when people come together. We invite artists, thinkers, creatives, and anyone who loves the arts to join us. There’s no right way to participate—just come ready to connect, share, and see what unfolds.

Creative Exchange with Brandon Berkel
Introducing our brand-new Creative Exchange - a peer-led learning series where artists share insights, tools, and professional knowledge. We welcome artists of all levels to connect, learn, and build community at Telluride Arts HQ. February 12th’s Creative Exchange is titled “In AI = Artistic Imagination” and will be hosted by local artist, Brandon Berkel.
Through the lens of “In AI = Artistic Imagination”, Brandon Berkel shares his personal journey as an artist navigating creativity alongside real-life responsibilities, being a father and husband, managing a bar, and staying connected to his artistic practice. He reflects on how AI became a tool that allowed him to continue creating art during busy and demanding seasons of his life. In his practice, Brandon explores the importance of imagination as a driving force for creativity, problem-solving, and artistic expression. His perspective invites us to rethink how new tools can support (not replace) the human imagination.
Brandon will also speak about his ongoing art project at the Transfer Warehouse, where he collaborates with local artists and curates street art as a way to activate the space. His goal is to “wake up” the warehouse through local art in the heart of Telluride.
Check out Brandon’s works featured in the Smithsonian Museum of American History, as well as his instagram for ongoing projects.

In Motion
January through April 2026, Telluride Arts presents “In Motion”. This exhibition brings together the work of 13 local and regional artists who explore movement as a constant condition of life. Through abstract and figurative forms, shifting light, evolving landscapes, bodies in transition, and emotional or natural processes, the exhibition reflects how change, adaptation, and transformation shape our lived experience. Some works express motion through stillness, others through rhythm, gesture, or flow, reminding us that nothing is ever truly static. “In Motion” celebrates creativity as an ongoing state of becoming—where art, like life itself, is always responding, evolving, and in motion.
