The Things We Carry – Las Cosas Que Llevamos is an immersive, bilingual art installation that transforms the stories of Latino workers in San Miguel County into a living archive of resilience and hope. Through objects, sound, and interactive storytelling, the exhibit honors labor as both art and testimony—revealing the strength, dignity, and creativity that sustain our community.
Built in collaboration with local partners, this collective work invites visitors to reflect, connect, and bear witness: look what we built together.
Opening November 14 as part of Semana de Bienestar (Wellness Week).
About the Supporters
This vital project is made possible through a collaboration of community organizations and advocates, including Tri-County Health Network’s Multicultural Advocacy Team (TCHN) and the Workers’ School, Raíces Sin Fronteras, Telluride Arts, and various Coalition members across the state. The exhibit is also supported by the CDPHE Health Disparity Community Grant Program.

Las Cosas Que Llevamos – The Things We Carry es una instalación artística bilingüe e inmersiva que transforma las historias de trabajadores latinos del condado de San Miguel en un archivo vivo de resiliencia y esperanza. A través de objetos, sonidos y narrativas interactivas, la exhibición honra el trabajo como arte y testimonio, revelando la fuerza, dignidad y creatividad que sostienen a nuestra comunidad.
