ATACAMA DESERT X COLORADO — STUDENT GROUP SHOW
ON DISPLAY: February 2 - 6th, 2026
This exhibition showcases a cross-cultural artistic journey led by Spanish students from Telluride Middle and High School. Under the guidance of Carolina Panozo, Laura Maraboli, and Melina Espinosa, students explored the connection between the Atacama Desert in Chile and the mountains of Colorado through research, cultural exchange, and artistic creation. By studying the Atacama Desert, exchanging artwork with students from Colegio Inglés San José, and creating their own representations of Telluride’s landscapes, students integrated their local identity with a global perspective. The project highlights how art and inquiry can build meaningful connections between communities across borders.
