Nicole Charre
Nicole Charre’s photography primarily revolves around the theme of slow living, focusing on a shift in our perspective and relationship with or around objects that would otherwise be perceived as insignificant. In this way, Nicole tries to reframe our collective ideas of home and the notion of the mundane. By taking these photos that more closely resemble paintings, she hopes to distract people from their digital environment and allow them to focus on their immediate environment. Most of her work is inspired by Abstract Expressionism, including the late field paintings of Mark Rothko.
