James P Cencer
Jim Cencer is a lifelong media artist who currently specializes in Biophilic photography. As a member of the Society of Professional Journalists he was already acknowledged as a Photojournalist. As an urban high school instructor, his media students published the school newspaper and yearbook. To obtain graduate school certification in Distance Education & Technology, Cencer created and instructed “Digital Nature Photography”.
In Montrose, CO he is the official photographer for the Montrose Botanic Gardens and has received multiple media honors including Purchase Awards and Commissions. His Biophilic photos hang in New Mexico’s Artesia General Hospital and adorn a utility box in Centennial, CO.
He received a 2025 Colorado Department of Agriculture award in the “Open Professional category,” The Colorado National Monument Association featured a photo of a geological spire on their February 2025 calendar page. Cencer published the Hardcover photo book “Exotic American Botanicals” in 2025. His specialties include Botanical, Bird, Sculpture, Travel Photography, Candid portraiture, DSLR & Lighting
