Visit the art exhibition at Citizens State Bank during Art Walk, featuring two incredible local artists: MD Famous Artist and Doris Tinsley Nadel.

MD is a Famous Artist in his own right, known for original works inspired by bold, brilliant colors and creatively simplistic design.

Doris Tinsley Nadel presents Aspens, a new painting series inspired by autumn hikes in Telluride. These works capture the radiant glow of Aspen trees, their smooth bark and striking forms brought to life through vibrant colors and dynamic brushstrokes.

Telluride Arts is proud to present a special Mountainfilm edition artist talk featuring Caroline Clark and Dana Tiger, on Friday, May 24, from 6:00 to 6:45 PM at Telluride Arts HQ.

Caroline Clark, the 2024 Mountainfilm poster artist, is a Colorado Springs–based creative whose vibrant, quirky work captures the joy of outdoor life and the spirit of the American West. She launched Caroline Clark Designs in 2018 and recently opened Long Lost Studio, a space designed to bring people together through creativity.

Dana Tiger, an internationally acclaimed artist and member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation with Cherokee and Seminole heritage, is known for her powerful watercolors and acrylics celebrating Native American women. A lifelong artist inspired by her renowned father, Jerome Tiger, and uncle, Johnny Tiger Jr., Dana’s work reflects her deep cultural roots and commitment to supporting Native youth through art and education. Her pieces, along with artwork by her children, will be on display.

This event is free and open to the public.

Fringe Gallery presents new work by R. Nelson Parrish, a wood and bio-resin sculpture artist from Southern California, in honor of Mountainfilm 2025. Nelson creates the Mountainfilm awards each year, and they will be on view in the gallery during Art Walk. The artist will be present.

Milk Moon is pleased to present Rivers Feed the Trees; The Moon Moves the Tides, a two-part solo exhibit of work by mixed media painter Meredith Nemirov, in collaboration with national nonprofit, American Rivers.

Milk Moon's inaugural show is a reflection on rivers, their crucial role in healthy environments, and the threats they face as a result of climate change, pollution, damming, and other anthropogenic interventions. Started in 2021, Nemirov's Rivers Feed the Trees series is an ongoing body of work that imagines an American West free from drought. In a collaboration spanning over a hundred years, Nemirov paints a network of branching, intertwining waterways into the topography of maps from the early 20th and late 19th centuries. Nurtured by the abundance of rivers and streams, stands of aspen trees sprout and flourish in her rewatered landscapes, standing tall in the face of an uncertain future.

AH HAA TEEN FELLOWSHIP EXHIBITION
Ah Haa School for the Arts presents the work of the Ah Haa Teen Fellowship, a 16-week intensive for high school students in the San Miguel Watershed inaugurated by Visual Arts Manager, Lulu Priddy. Designed to cultivate and mentor emerging talent, the Fellowship offers participants practical experience and is designed to help burgeoning artists develop their portfolios and artistic skills while pursuing an independent project in the medium of their choice. This year’s cohort is made up of 8 students, Wilder Anderson, Rachel Beard, Paige Downer, Hazel Frerichs, Winter Jacobson, Marilyn Jones, Hannah Jurecki, Koi Kirkwood, whose independent projects span diverse mediums: ceramics, acrylic painting, air brushing, charcoal, metals, graffiti, illustration, and design. The Fellowship culminates in this group exhibition in the Daniel Tucker Gallery, where Fellows will present their work to the community. Teens in the Ah Haa Fellowship program not only created the works showcased in this exhibition, they also co-curated the show, devising exhibition concepts, layout and design, and installation processes.

PAINT WITH MAX ROMEY
Visitors to Ah Haa during Artwalk will learn Max's techniques of achieving his viral 3"x3" inch watercolor landscapes and try their hand at creating a miniature painting. Max Romey is an award-winning Alaskan-based artist and filmmaker who loves to explore big wide-open places. He has traveled the world with his sketchbooks, using watercolor to break down the complex environmental stories told in his impactful documentaries.

The Wilkinson Public Library is showcasing Earth Versions by Heather Romney during the Art Walk. Heather, a former photographer turned painter, explores the geography of the former Lake Bonneville by creating oil paintings from Google Earth screenshots.
