Music is my Muse....lyrics of the song “Dreamin” by @domdolla are in the paintings. Lyrics of “Dreamin” are printed on paper, cut into strips then sculpted with black thick acrylic paint creating mixed media texture within the whimsical dancing geometric shapes on a background of swirling silver acrylic brush strokes that creates an illusion on stainless steel.
Dreamin inspired and resonated with me how grateful being so blessed in my life journey that I feel like I am dreaming! Music inspires my creativity, when I hear music, I see shapes and colors moving and dancing around in my head that interpret into my paintings. Love the interplay using playful geometric shapes, vibrant colors and positive negative space in a painting. “DREAMIN NOIR I and II” are my newest paintings for “Geometric Shapes of Sound” series where each painting is based on a song that inspires and moves me.
