Originally from the beaches of Sydney’s south coast, Heather Bell has called the mountains of Telluride home for the past 20 years. With a deep appreciation for the natural world, she was drawn to pottery by the challenge of transforming earth into something both beautiful and useful.

For Heather, practicing pottery is a metaphor for practicing life—it requires patience, calm, tolerance, and a willingness to learn from and accept mistakes. Through her work, she embraces these lessons while creating thoughtful, functional pieces for others to appreciate and enjoy. Above all, Heather finds meaning in the connection that happens when something she has made finds a place in someone else’s life.
