The festival opens with a German-themed concert titled “An die Musik”—a tribute to the profound emotional and spiritual power of music. Named after the beloved 1817 poem by Austrian poet Franz von Schober, famously set to music by Franz Schubert, the program reflects on how music uplifts the soul and offers comfort and beauty. This opening concert on Sunday June 29th, will celebrate the rich musical legacy of German and Austrian composers, featuring works by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Mendelssohn, and Schumann. Audiences can also look forward to a few surprise pieces, adding a special touch to this evocative musical tribute.
