Join TJC for the second film in our series: Kidnapped: The Abduction of Edgardo Mortara. Based on the true story in Dr. David Kertzer’s The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara, the film recounts the 1858 seizure of a young Jewish boy by papal soldiers in Bologna after he was secretly baptized. As his parents fight to bring him home, the case sparks international outrage and political struggle.
