Join Us First Thursdays 5-8pm.
Join us at HQ Gallery West on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 3:00-7:00 pm, for the grand opening of a captivating solo exhibition by contemporary artist Matias Di Carlo, curated by Rachel D. Vancelette.
Matias Di Carlo, a fourth-generation ironsmith from Buenos Aires now based near Malaga, Spain, breathes new life into metal, creating sculptures that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation. His works explore the profound connections between creation and destruction, offering viewers an immersive experience into the alchemical transformation of materials.
Di Carlo will be in residency at Steeprock Joinery throughout August, creating on-site artworks inspired by the stunning surroundings of Telluride.
Don't miss your opportunity to meet Di Carlo at three special events in the coming weeks, plus Art Walk on September 5, 2024
