Wednesday May 22 - 27, 2019 | Town of Telluride and Mountain Village | Tickets for Purchase Online

Mountainfilm Festival began in 1979 as an opportunity for climbers and mountaineers to enjoy the Telluride outdoors by day and watch films about the mountains and mountain culture by night. It has evolved over the decades to embrace a much wider and more diverse audience. The programming now stretches to the leading edges of contemporary social, cultural, and environmental issues.

An orientation towards activism has increasingly defined Mountainfilm since the mid-90's, a function of both leadership as well as a growing public appetite to engage with modern challenges.

Mountainfilm is more than a film festival. With approximately 85 films selected each year from around the world, they are curated alongside guest presentations, a symposium, parties, scheduled conversations, book signings and musical events to create a full weekend event like no other.
