Artists' Statement: After two and a half years of painting consistently, I have seen how my paintings have gained strength and confidence.  The world of color continues to amaze me, with its juxtapositions and overlays combining to create an exciting new visual experience.  My work continues to explore duality in emotions, figures and colors.  I have chosen to pursue abstract painting because of my inclination toward intuitive work.  I attempt to express my feelings of the moment.  It begins with an idea of color, brush size, and gesture and grows from there.   My studio space gives me the opportunity to connect with my creative process on an ongoing basis. The classical music which I love and listen to enhances the gesture and emotive approach to my paintings.  A line and a note of music are so very close!
