Telluride Lit Fest 2018 Presents:
5th Annual Literary Burlesque
Witness this year's stirring performance by the morphing troupe of eight regional women who will drop layers, both literal and literary. This year’s show is titled Uncorseted: It's Not What It Seams and is a nod to the women of the World War I era who unbound themselves from stuffy strictures and the societal constraints of the 1914-1918 time period. Performers will include: Kierstin Bridger, Daiva Chesonis, Elissa Dickson, Erika Moss Gordon, Ellen Metrick, Corinne Platt, Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer, and Samantha Tisdel Wright. In addition, regional artists will create handmade corsets for the poets. Corset designers include: Kellie Day, MonkE Hazen, Luci Reeve, Lisa Issenberg, Jill Rikkers, Ann Dettmer, Meghann McCormick, and Buff Hooper.
Tickets are $20 and are available at Between the Covers Bookstore. Stop in or call 970-728-4504 to secure. Please note that this show ALWAYS sells out. And FYI: The Bistro at The Hotel Telluride will open early (5pm) on May 19th for vittles and cocktails. As the closest libations to the Black Box, they'll feature themed drinks from the WWI era. Reservations for sit-down dinner are recommended.
Tickets are $20 and will be available starting on Monday, May 1st, at 10am, at Between the Covers Bookstore. Please note that this show ALWAYS sells out well before the day of show.
