On Saturday, August 20, Telluride Theatre will hold its second annual SINGS! FUNdraiser at the Palm Theatre that includes local singers and dancers theatricalizing a very famous album. Plus, a Pick-A-Prize raffle where audience members can win awesome valuable prizes.
“This ONE NIGHT ONLY event is a celebration”, explains Anna Robinson, director of this year’s SINGS. “We will celebrate not only the amazing music of one of the most iconic bands in western culture (check out telluridetheatre.org for a hint on who!) but also the fact that theatre is thriving in the Telluride community. Local performers will fill the stage and you will see incredibly creative interpretations of each song.”
This SINGS! event is topped off with a Pick-A-Prize raffle that is also a part of the show.
Participants buy raffle tickets for a small fee (starting at $10 for a sheet of 20 tickets) and place them in the jars of ONLY the items they want to win. Thanks to the generous donations from local businesses, we are excited to offer prizes that include hotel stays, tickets to local events, discounts on outerwear, massages, a historical tour and sleigh ride, and so much more! Prizes range in value up to $999.00. Everyone can come enjoy the show, and have a chance to win.
General Admission tickets are $15 (ages 21 and over only). People who really want some special dazzle, can purchase VIP Tables for four people for $100. They will get champagne, cocktail service, four sheets of raffle tickets, and more. Doors will open at 6:30pm for bar service and the raffle, at 8:00pm, the live performance and drawings get under way.
“This is going to be a great party,” said Sasha Sullivan, Artistic Director of Telluride Theatre. “We’re celebrating our sold out run of Shakespeare in the Park and gearing up for more shows in the fall and winter. Please come out and help us celebrate this joy-filled evening and continue to support all that Telluride Theatre does to bring year round live theatre to our incredible community!”
