The Telluride Playwrights Festival is celebrating their 10th Anniversary July 27-31, 2016 at the Historic Sheridan Opera House.

In celebration the Festival will produce an original play by Jennie Franks that has been specially written for this event.  It will be directed by Yury Urnov, from Woolly Mammoth Theater Company in Washington DC and is called THE HISPANIC WOMEN’S PROJECT. The play tells of true stories of Hispanic women, who live and work in the San Miguel region of our county. These are local immigrant stories that everyone needs to hear.

The first night 27th July will be performed with a Spanish translator specifically for the Hispanic community.  Other nights will be performed by local actors in English.

All ticket sales go towards a scholarship fund for young Latinas in local schools.
