The Ah Haa School presents the first 2016 Masterclass Series – an opportunity to engage deeply with unique and established artists working in different mediums during a weekend-long Masterclass visit. Masterclass weekends will begin with a Friday public lecture by the artist, followed by a Saturday workshop and a Sunday critique and discussion.
Do you love to travel? Would you like to come home from your adventures with great photos that you’d be proud to hang on your walls or show off in a book?
Visiting artist Kerry Halasz will present a Masterclass workshop on how to capture your journeys creatively, whether you shoot with a DSLR, or an iPhone. The workshop will explore simple and effective methods of capturing the details of adventures in a documentary style. The workshop will include a photographic field trip in downtown Telluride for hands on shooting practice utilizing the techniques explored in the workshop. On Sunday, Halasz will host a photography critique and follow up discussion.
On Friday, Janurary 15th, 2016, Halasz will present a public lecture entitled: What Tripod? Stories of Rushed Photography Around the World. From traveling with 12 fast paced family members to trying to focus after a near death experience in the Sahara, join artist Kerry Halasz as she shares her love of getting the perfect, quick shot while traveling the world.
