Saturday & Sunday, July 11 & 12 | 10am – 4pm | $200 tuition + $65 materials
Experiment with printmaking techniques while turning ordinary scraps and textured materials into dynamic, layered works of art.
Using a combination of processes and collaged materials, students will turn ordinary junk and textured scraps into dynamic, layered works of art. By applying ink, ink modifiers and pressure, we’ll transfer multiple images onto paper, ultimately achieving depth, range of tone, and cohesion of colors. Techniques we’ll explore include collagraphy, multi-color printing, ghost images and blocking. Students should emerge with several proofs, as well as one or two finished pieces that combine each step of the process.
